The ONE SUPPLEMENT everyone, everywhere should be taking:

This legendary extract from "The tree of life" can help keep you THRIVING... no matter what your concerns may be!
In all my years dedicated to overturning the mainstream medical dogma and developing the simplest--most effective--natural approaches to optimal health, I've never come across one quite as PERFECT as Pycnogenol(r).

In fact, I've always said...if I were stranded on a desert island I would want Pycnogenol in my pocket. It's just that powerful.

There's simply no easier way to make such an enormous impact on every aspect of your health. Pycnogenol can help from the top of your head to the tip of your toe.

And you'd never guess the source...

Pycnogenol comes from one of nature's oldest, simplest materials...

Tree bark, of all things!

But before you start chipping away at the old maple in your backyard, hang on just a second! I'm not talking about any old tree bark here. No, this one is highly unique. Pycnogenol comes from a particular type of pine tree that only grows along the southwest coast of France, in the Les Landes de Gascogne area.

Since researchers began looking at it more closely over 60 years ago, more than 220 studies have been published on the benefits of Pycnogenol--demonstrating its antioxidant properties, its ability to help support healthy blood sugar, its effects on cardiovascular and circulatory health, and much, MUCH more.
Simply put, everyone everywhere should be taking Pycnogenol(r).
The story of Pycnogenol actually dates back hundreds of years...

And the first chapter reads like the opening scene of one of the Rudyard Kipling adventure novels you might have read as a kid...

It's the dead of winter as Captain Jacque Cartier sails down the St. Charles River just outside of Quebec. Without warning, the frigid water turns to a sheet of ice, trapping Cartier's ship and all 110 members of his crew inside.

With nowhere to turn, they seek refuge from the piercing, icy winds deep in the ship's hull. But then, one by one, the crew members succumb to a mysterious illness, and Cartier fears that no one will survive long enough to see the spring thaw.

Finally, an Iroquois shaman reaches out to the stranded expedition, showing them how to brew a medicinal tea from the needles and bark of an indigenous pine tree they call Annedda.

The crew makes a miraculous recovery from what we now know as scurvy, and Cartier re-christens the life-saving fir Arborvitae--or "Tree of Life."

Fast forward 475 years to today...and the legendary Tree of Life is producing hopeful results once again.

In fact, when this extract was first rediscovered over 60 years ago, researchers went to work quickly exploring its many potential benefits. And it certainly didn't disappoint.

It was finally determined that pine bark extract contained a mixture of fruit acids and proanthocyanidins.

Proanthocyanidins are a class of bioflavonoids. About 250 bioflavonoids have been identified in nature. Proanthocyanidins are named after the blue hue they give to plants ("cyano" means dark blue).

Pycnogenol contains condensed proanthocyanidins consisting mainly of procyanidins and phenolic acids. The total amount of procyanidins has been standardized. And as a result, provides a growing list of potential health benefits...starting with its role as a super-antioxidant.
Nature's most versatile supplement
Pycnogenol works for a number of reasons. First and foremost, it is a powerful antioxidant. This means it can help protect the body from free-radical damage and the ravages of the aging process.

In everyday life our body is constantly fighting off free radicals. These chemically unbalanced radicals damage cells by oxidizing them, similar to how metal becomes rusty when exposed to the air. Hence, free radicals are dangerous and scientists believe the continuous exposure to free radicals is a major cause of ageing.

As a super-antioxidant, Pycnogenol is believed to counteract that danger in two ways:
  1. It stimulates our internal antioxidant systems to increase their power
  2. It catches free radicals in the blood stream.
That double defense makes Pycnogenol unique.

It may also aid in the production of endothelial nitric oxide, and has been shown to help dilate blood vessels.

And it helps protect collagen from degradation, which is essential to a healthy complexion.

Researchers are still exploring the many benefits of Pycnogenol. But what they've found so far is promising, and reason enough to take it every day. Here's just a sampling...

With over 200 studies on the function and benefits of Pycnogenol, it's hard to know where to begin. So for now, let me just recap some of the most recent research...
Key study shows Pycnogenol supports blood vessel health
In July of 2012, an important study in the European Heart Journal took a closer look at the heart-health properties of Pycnogenol. Researchers found that Pycnogenol can help keep arteries and blood vessels healthy.

A group of Swiss researchers examined Pycnogenol's effects on 23 people. During the first 8 weeks of the study, they were randomly assigned to take Pycnogenol (200 mg daily) or a placebo. After a two-week "washout period," each volunteer was switched to the opposite protocol.

After 8 weeks of Pycnogenol treatment, patients had a 32 percent improvement in blood flow. Also, there were significantly lower levels of 5-F(2t)-Isoprostane, a marker for oxidative stress and free radical damage.

These results showed Pycnogenol's antioxidant power at work...promoting the health of artery walls and supporting healthy blood flow.

You see, pollution, sugar, and other factors set off a dangerous chain of events in the body that lead to something called oxidative stress. Which is caused by free radicals that flow in the bloodstream and can affect the lining of your arteries.

But this study showed that, when people took Pycnogenol, their blood flowed more freely and they maintained healthy arteries. . .
Ease menopause symptoms with Pycnogenol
Some women really suffer with menopause. Including hot flashes, loss of sex drive, and vaginal dryness. Now research shows Pycnogenol may help ease those symptoms.

The evidence appeared in a recent issue of the journal Panminerva Medica.

A group of Italian researchers enrolled 70 women in their study. Thirty-eight took 100 mg Pycnogenol daily for an 8-week period, and 32 women did not. Researchers evaluated 33 common signs and symptoms of menopause before the study's start, and at its end.

Six of the most common symptoms--hot flushes, night sweats, mood swings, irregular periods, loss of libido, and vaginal dryness--were decreased in the Pycnogenol group. The control group had no changes.

The Pycnogenol group also showed relief from fatigue, sleeping disorders, concentration and memory problems, dizziness, low mood and irritability. Although those findings did not show up as "statistically significant."

The researchers measured damaging "oxidative stress" in the women by measuring free radicals in the small blood vessels. Oxidative stress was significantly lowered after four and eight weeks. No changes in the control group.
Pycnogenol capable of boosting mental performance
A group of Italian researchers has discovered that Pycnogenol can significantly improve mental performance, alertness, and mood. Their finding builds on previous research demonstrating that Pycnogenol improves memory in senior citizens.

The recent study, published in the journal Panminerva Medica, involved college students. The eight-week study was conducted at Pescara University in Italy, and involved 53 university students, ages 18 to 27. Half the group was given 100 mg of Pycnogenol daily; the other half got a placebo.

The students' mental performance was evaluated using cognitive function tests. Students' final exam scores were also evaluated. Verbal IQ tests ensured that all the students had similar intelligence levels.

At the study's end, those who took Pycnogenol had better mental performance, including improved sustained attention, memory and mood. They also had higher test scores on their exams, compared to the control group. Plus, their alertness and contentment improved significantly.

One of the primary benefits of Pycnogenol is its ability to support healthy blood flow in the small blood vessels and capillaries--like the ones in the brain. And researchers think this was likely the primary contributing factor to the students' mental boost.
